Yanagiya is a guesthouse in a townhouse of a dyeing and weaving factory restored to how it was originally built in the Taisho period (1912 to 1926). It is located in the Iwamura Castle Town (important traditional architectures preservation district) of Ena City in Gifu Prefecture with a history of more than 400 years.
We carefully restored this building, which had been vacant for more than 20 years so that travelers visiting Iwamura can spend their time comfortably without reserve.
We are looking forward to your visit so that many people can use our guesthouse as a new base for sightseeing and exchanges.

Yanagiya is a townhouse of a building that was restored to how it was in the Taisho period (1912 to 1926). The rooms are divided by fusuma (sliding screens). This means it is a building in which you can hear the conversations of those in nearby rooms.
We leave the judgment about whether staying here is suitable for small children to you. We ask that you cooperate so as not to inconvenience other guests.
- We basically operate on a reservation basis. Please make an application by the day before the day of your intended stay over the telephone, the online plan on our website or the e-mail form. Please understand that you may not be able to stay with us if you ask on the day of your intended stay.
- Yanagiya offers accommodation with no meals. We do not provide meals, dressing gowns, towels, toothbrushes or other amenities, so please bring your own.

- You cannot smoke in your room. Please use a designated smoking space.
- Please ask us about keeping your luggage before check-in and after check-out.
